Air Duct Cleaning

Now we all know that there are many thing that one person needs in life that we did not need in the older days. Like cars, many years ago cars where only made for rich people, these days a car is very necessary and is no longer look at as a luxury. This goes for many other things that an adult buys in his or her life, lets take a look at your home, and the air your breathe while you are at home for a minute, because we all know not air is not a luxury, and it never was. To live a healthy life these days you will have to go out and buy organic food products, in this same way, you have to buy clean air, now we all know that air is free, but that is not really clean air is it, this is proven in hospital where they filter all of their air before their patience’s breath it in. in this same way, we need to filter air in our homes, but where do we start when we go out and buy air duct systems and duct cleaners?

Truck mounted negative air cleaning system. This is the only Air Duct Cleaning system that can produce enough vacuum to thoroughly clean your entire system. In order for the air ducts to be cleaned thoroughly, you need three key components:

• Strong vacuum pressure to extract dirt, dust and debris from your home. Look for a system that produces 12,000 cfm (cubic feet per minute) of vacuum pressure. Any machine under 10,000 cfm may leave debris behind and then re-contaminate what was cleaned.

• Brush the entire length of the vent line. Rotating brushes should be used to clean the dirt, dust and debris from the walls of the vents.

• High-powered compressed air to ensure that dirt, dust and debris is removed from tight spaces and turns in the system where it often hides. Compressed air pushes the debris into a vacuum hose which is then carried out to a holding tank in the truck. The furnace should be thoroughly cleaned (blower, heat exchanger, gas burner, A/C coils, etc.).

A combination of all three cleaning components will provide the most thorough cleaning available. Beware of air duct cleaning companies that use a portable unit or carpet cleaning equipment (even though they may be truck mounted)! These systems simply do not have the vacuum pressure necessary (100 cfm - 400 cfm) to properly clean your vents. Also, they are not designed to reach all areas of your HVAC system, where most dust and debris is found. Make sure that the company has a vacuum hose of 8" in diameter or larger to be ensure that larger debris can be extracted. If the vacuum hose is only 1 1/2" in diameter, items larger than the opening of the hose will be left behind. So now when you go out to look at these systems rest assured that you know what you are looking for.
