Enhancing Your Beauty With Hair Extensions
Hair extensions are basically additional lengths of hair that are temporarily fixed on your hair either to thicken or to lengthen your hair depending on your personal personal taste. Hair extensions are a simple means through which someone can get the latest hair style that is in fashion. The extensions can add volume, thickness and length to your hair and giving you a completely new style and look. The process that is used to lock the extensions is found varying from one extension to other. They should only be applied by professionals with the use of glues, pre-tipped, braids, weaves, clips or metal rings and others. All of these professional methods vary in cost, depending on the material, skill and time required. Hair extensions can make you feel stylish and give you a new lease of life. Hair extensions are available in two types, one is made from real hair and the other is synthetic hair.
Extensions are are without doubt, the best way to achieve long locks of hair without having to grow it. Hair extensions are in fact a god send for people who are thinking of growing out their hair into a long, sumptuous mop from an inadequate, schoolboyish style hair cut. Through extensions, everybody will be able to get the length of hair that they desire. Long gone are the days of maintaining your hair for months, if not years, waiting for it to reach the right length.
Hair extensions can be put in, in a variety of ways depending on your requirements and budget. If you are wanting a temporary solution, that are easy to manage, then why not then why not think about clip-in extensions. These can be bought from most hair extensions shops or online hair extensions stores. Ponytail extensions are popular choices in clip-ins. Though clip in hair extensions are generally not widely available in subtle colour variations, they do come in all of the more common shades.
There are a number of things you can do to get the most out of your hair extensions. They can be shampooed, styled and brushed the same as your natural hair, but don’t try to alter their colour. This should be professionally carried out by a qualified stylist. The most important thing is to be gentle with your hair so as to preserve the bond attaching it and use a soft bristle brush, and brush out tangles from the bottom ends up towards your head. At night, to avoid your hair from matting up, tie your hair up or braid it if it’s fairly long, and never go to sleep with wet or damp hair. Avoid using any silicone-based products or conditioners on the extension where it is bonded to your natural hair, as this will make the extension go soft and become unstable.
In the society that we live in today it has become second nature to plug a hairdryer, straightener or curling tongs in as part of our daily routine. The question is though, can you use these modern day ‘heating’ devices on your new hair extensions? If your extensions are made from real hair then straighten and curl away! However if you are using synthetic hair you shouldn't be using straightening irons or curling tongs as they will basically melt your extensions. As for how often you can get extensions fitted, then providing that your extensions are applied and removed correctly, meaning no damage has been done then you can have your new extensions applied the same day your old ones are removed. It is still recommended though, that you give your hair a break every now and then.
